A tiny middle zone is the sign of a shrinking violet. Rarely will anything get her to venture out of her confined space. She prefers her own comapny to that of others. She's afraid that others will see her for what she believes she is--nothing. When forced into the company of others, she'll be picking nits and generally being petty toward them. This is the porcupine defense--I'll attack you before you get a chance to attack me. As soon as she possibly can, she'll retreat to the security of her safe little shell.
